The public hysteria makes it look like they can be dangerous, even explode like atomic bombs. But they simply can’t. An explosive chain reaction requires an unmoderated critical mass with at least 80% enrichment. Power reactors use a moderated reaction in uranium that’s only enriched to 3%.
These plants are also the cleanest energy source we have.
